BENEFITS OF YOGA     If practiced regularly, Yoga can create a toned, flexible, and strong body including improved respiration, energy, and vitality. Yoga can help to maintain a balanced metabolism in that it promotes cardio and circulatory health Yoga can be used to relieve pain and allow the participant to look and feel younger. Yoga also can lead to improved daily living for the average individual and athletic performance for the committed athlete. In additionYoga helps the participant relax and handle stressful situations more easily. Teaches how to quiet the mind and focus energy in a positive direction ie. a difficult yoga pose, a tennis game, or in the office. Yoga encourages positive thoughts and self-acceptance and builds awareness of the body, feelings and the world at large. It promotes feelings of peace, contentment and an interdependence of mind, body, and spirit.."  Maryann's class will guide the participant through a series of seated and standing postures to awaken and energize the body, mind and spirt and prepare for the day. All levels are welcome.
 
BENEFITS OF PILATES      Pilates is an exercise program designed to stretch, strengthen, and balance the body without adding bulk or stressing the joints.. Some specific benefits include: Longer, leaner muscles, improved posture and core strength/stability, may help prevent injury, improved daily living and functional movement. Pilates also, balances strength and flexibility, heightens body awareness and improves balance, coordination, circulation. Pilates can be customized for everyone from rehab patients to elite athletes and dance professional.
 
BENEFITS OF QI GONG/TAI CHI   Sometimes described as "meditation in motion" because it promotes serenity through gentle movements * connecting the mind and body. Originally developed in ancient China for self-defense, tai chi evolved into a graceful form of exercise that's now used for stress reduction and to help with a variety of other health conditions. Qi Gong are warm up exercises traditionally done in preparation of a Tai Chi "work-out" that can be done in an order, by themselves, or coupled with exercises from another form of exercise, ie., Yoga and Qi Gong, "Qi-Yo" (Yoga and Qu-Gong, or "Pi Yo Qi" Pilates/Yoga/Qi Gong.
